Position Description
Working in collaboration with the Director of Engineering Technologies, the Lead Instructor provides leadership for the program and the college. It is expected that Lead Instructors perform their duties in the spirit of cooperation with the Director. The duties of the position should be performed in a timely manner in consultation with the Director of Engineering Technologies (ET) and the Executive Director of Workforce, Technologies & Community Education (WTCE). Primary administrative responsibilities include program development/management, budget development/management, maintaining programmatic accreditation/external partnerships, and providing oversight of the day-to-day operations for faculty and staff. Instructional responsibilities require a strong program skill set and the ability to teach students effectively in an instructional environment. The Lead Instructor is a member of the full-time faculty and maintains all the job responsibilities of a full-time faculty member in addition to Lead responsibilities.
