Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Applicant should possess a minimum of 3 years experience teaching students with various levels of intellectual disabilities.
Adult Education Core Instructional Certificate
Greater than 3 of years experience teaching adult students with various levels of intellectual disabilities
Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems
The Lead Instructor for the SOAR (Skills, Opportunities, Awareness and Readiness) is primarily responsible for the planning, delivery of instruction, and providing services and support activities required for optimal learning for adults with intellectual disabilities. The instructor is also accountable for monitoring student progress and completing all paperwork required to meet state and federal demands.
