Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in cyber security, information technology, or related field. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
One year of related experience in information technologies.
One year of directly related experience with secondary school students, customer service, or administrative support.
Intermediate level or better proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to travel to schools, conferences, and grant-related activities/events as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in cyber security or related field.
Experience with grants or project management, data collection and reporting.
Position Description
The Liaison, K-12 Cyber Security will ensure the steady involvement of all participants in the K-12 Pipeline Grant Program, and build cyber awareness in the schools. This is a 24-month, Grant Funded position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate K-12 face-to-face and virtual activities, extracurricular learning programs and related initiatives.
Organize and promote K-12 cybersecurity activities throughout the grant period.
Maintain and foster relationships with K-12 stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with K-12 teachers and stakeholders to identify and encourage students to participate in Cyber Security activities.
Work with CAE schools, businesses and other stakeholders to identify articulations, MOUs and partnerships to enter information into a database to create a national directory.
Collaborate with Guidance Counselors, and participate in school-related activities to identify and advise students regarding Career and College Promise pathways
Collect grant data related to K-12 activities and maintain accurate records.
Complete reporting requirements for K-12 grant initiatives.
Complete other duties as necessary to fulfill grant requirements.
