Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required. Valid NC driver's license required. 

Preferred Qualifications

Two years’ work experience in HVAC and electrical systems and controls preferred. Ability to read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.  Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Knowledge of building construction and maintenance techniques and procedures. Demonstrated dependability by work performance and attendance. Ability to climb ladders, operate necessary equipment, moderate lifting, and standing for extended periods of time.

Position Description

General Description of the Position:

The Maintenance Supervisor for Scotland Facilities, under the authority of the Director of Facility Services, is responsible for performing semi-skilled and routine tasks in the repair and maintenance of the RCC Scotland Facilities buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Position:

1.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the HVAC systems.

2.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the Electrical systems.

3.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the Plumbing systems.

4.Help with care of grounds as needed.

5.Basic painting.

6.Sweep, mop, maintain floors, and empty trash daily.

7.Responsible for responding to after operating hours building alarms.

8.Responsible for supervising maintenance staff stationed at Scotland facilities.

9. Other duties. (Willingness to accept and fulfill additional assignments.)
