Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building and maintenance tasks relating to the renovation, upkeep and operation of campus buildings and facilities with primary duties related to the inspection, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems. Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance; maintain mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems as appropriate; operate minor equipment including saws, drills, grinders, etc…; operate forklift; read blueprints; clean and maintain equipment and equipment rooms in an orderly fashion; perform maintenance services after regularly scheduled hours as needed; maintain records on work performed; and assist custodians as needed.  High school diploma or GED; the ability to perform basic plumbing, electricity, heating and cooling systems operations, and to demonstrate basic safety practices, required.  A valid North Carolina Driver’s License, the ability to lift 50 lbs., and the ability to bend, stoop, grasp, reach and stand, required.   Hours:  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday with occasional work after hours as needed.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.
