Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree, or minimum of two years of experience, in marketing, advertising/promotions, graphic arts, or related field;
- Creative visual skills including, but not limited to, graphic design, photography, and videography;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, journalistic interviewing and writing abilities (AP Style), proofreading skills, consulting capability, and presentation expertise;
- Proven in-depth experience in a variety of social media platforms, respective participants, and relevant analytics and how such platforms can be most effectively deployed to accomplish marketing goals of the college;
- Flexible schedule in order to attend early or evening events;
- Experience/proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Word, photo editing software, and video editing software on a Macintosh;
- Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability;
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
- Effective scheduling and time management with the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, students, faculty, and staff.

Position Description
Job Summary
The Marketing Associate/Social Media Coordinator will assist the Marketing Director with daily activities of the Marketing Department including but not limited to internal and external marketing and communication efforts.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement college’s social media strategy and utilize digital analytics to alter or improve the strategy;
- Serve as the college’s photographer and videographer working with students, faculty, and staff;
- Write press releases and profiles as assigned by Marketing Director, post on the college’s website, share on social media, and submit to media;
- Remain aware of campus events in order to promote and attend events as requested in order to take photos, shoot video footage, cover on social media, etc.;
- Create and upload panels for the campus-wide TV monitor information system;
- Proofread articles;
- Place and manage Google, YouTube, Spotify, and other digital ads utilizing analytics to track and improve ROI of digital ads;
- Verify all digital items are ADA compliant;
- Assist departments developing their own social media presence; and
- Submit Marketing Department invoices for payment.\
