Position Description
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: classroom and laboratory instruction, examination preparation and grading and preparing students for a rewarding career in Masonry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and update material/outlines.
- Provides traditional lecture and project based learning activities related to the following competencies: Introduction to brick, concrete and mortar types and use, work site safety, hand tools, power tools, and using masonry equipment, wall support systems, contextualized math, concrete masonry unit (CMU) materials and basic laying and reinforcement techniques, moisture control, and modern brick laying techniques + Reinforcing brick, brick wall supports and brick/stone wall types.
- Prepare course objectives following industry standards and applicable requirements by contract.
- Plans and document a program of study that meets the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Provides instruction using handouts, texts, audiovisual, and project based learning.
- Requires accurate attendance and timely end of course paperwork.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school Diploma
- Five years of direct experience

- Familiar with MS Office.
PREFERRED:
- Third Party Industry credentials.
- Experience teaching adults.
- Competent in MS Office applications.
