Position Description
POSITION
Mathematics Faculty, Full-Time (9-months; Havelock Campus)
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The primary role of a full-time faculty member is to focus on academic excellence
and student success, and encourage lifelong learning by working collaboratively with college stakeholders to support the mission of the college. Full-time faculty members ensure the quality and integrity of the college’s academic programs through teaching and student learning, professional development, and college service. This position reports directly to the Dean of Havelock Campus. Full-time Mathematics faculty teach 18-20 hours per semester.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in math. Prior teaching experience teaching at a community college preferred. Special consideration will be granted to applicants with experience teaching upper level math (e.g. Calculus III, Differential Equations).
SALARY/BENEFITS
- Hiring Range $42,000 - $47,000
- Benefits include paid holidays, sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
