Minimum Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Systems/Engineering Technology or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required. Three years of relevant work experience in the industry and/or teaching experience is required. Must have experience with distance education and the use of technology. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a self-starter, team player and have a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and Bilingual is preferred.
Position Description
Serve as Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Instructor, teaching an average of 15-22 hours per semester. Classroom duties include teaching a variety of topics that include instrumentation, automation, programmable logic controllers, process control, robotics and integrated systems. Maintain Mechatronics/Industrial Systems lab and ordering of all supplies and equipment. Teaching assignments may include on campus/off campus classes during the day, evening, weekend and online. The instructor will also be required to assist in the scheduling of courses, manage program revisions, engage in program recruiting, serve as a program advisor, participate in various committees, attend professional development, maintain program advisory board and other assignments as required by the Department Chair and Dean.
