Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience in instruction at the University or Community College level.

Position Description

This instructor will develop course outlines, syllabi, and teach classes within the Mechatronics Engineering Technology curriculum to include but not limited to hydraulic/pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, engineering graphics, PLC setup and maintenance procedures and electrical fundamentals.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
This instructor will be required to work closely with local high schools as well as business and industry leaders to facilitate internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students. The instructor will also work with math and physics faculty members to design and implement cross-curricula lab assignments. This position requires strong interpersonal skills in communication with students to include recruiting and advising, as well as participation with colleagues, staff, administrators, and community partners as individuals or as a part of a team. Participation in college functions, committee assignments and other tasks as assigned by the department head is also required. Work hours may include day, evening, and weekend hours.
