Blue Ridge Community College is located in Flat Rock, North Carolina; Henderson County. Presently we are seeking a full-time Media Services Support Technician. The Media and IT Support Technician supports Media and Distance Learning technologies including projectors, large screen TV displays, and operates video conference systems to facilitate interactive and distance learning instruction.

Education: 
Associates level degree in related field is required for this position

Experience:  
No prior experience is required. One or more years of prior verifiable and relevant experience is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: 
This job requires excellent computer, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be well organized and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.  The position also requires excellent customer service and telephone skills.  Must have the proven ability to work in an environment in which teamwork and change are highly valued cultural characteristics, and speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are of primary importance. 

Physical Demands:
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting ~50lbs, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing a ladder, using a lift, operating in a confined space and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
