Position Description
Sandhills Community College is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program Coordinator. The MLT Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the MLT Program's education including developing, monitoring and maintaining an adequate number of Program sites, training Program instructors, maintaining Program education documentation, ensuring communication between the Program and Clinical sites, scheduling, instruction and evaluation of students, annual reports to Research and Planning Office, NAACLS, Program Advisory Board, Program Faculty, and the Department Chair of Health Sciences.
MLT Program Coordinator Qualifications:
The program coordinator must be a Medical Laboratory Professional who:
a. has an earned master's or doctoral degree
b. holds ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical
technologist (MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP)
c. has three years of teaching experience, preferable in an MLT or MLS program
d. has knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation
procedures and certification procedures
Salary to be commensurate with experience and state salary schedules. Applications will be accepted until November 13, 2020.
