Position Description
The Continuing Education Department is accepting applications for instructors to teach math and written communication skills in the Military Academic Skills Program (MASP) classroom for active duty military students. Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, and developing lessons and units of instruction to help students improve functional and academic proficiency; providing math and/or language arts instruction for students in the MASP program at the Base Education facility on Camp Lejeune; monitoring student growth throughout each instructional session; and keeping necessary class records to document student attendance and progress. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year institution is required; a degree in education, math, English, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year teaching experience is highly preferred. Applicant must have base access or be willing and able to obtain base access upon hire.
Salary: Hourly, based on education and experience. 15-20 hours per week.
Start Date: February 24, 2020.
