Blue Ridge Community College is currently seeking applications for an NCWorks Career Coach for the Henderson County, NC area. The purpose of this position is to assist high school students with determining career goals and identifying Blue Ridge Community College programs that would enable students to achieve those goals. The employee will spend approximately 50% of their time at North Henderson High School and 50% at East Henderson High School.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a closely related field is required. A Master’s Degree in one of the above fields is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time high school or community college teaching or counseling/advising experience required.

Knowledge and Skills: The ideal person will possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, database systems, College email and website, and other computer applications associated with the position.

Physical Demands: The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
