Responsible for support, problem determination, and solutions of college network infrastructure and associated systems.  Provides monitoring for network applications and responds to issues concerning the College’s wired and wireless networks.  Responsible for cyber security initiatives and cyber awareness training for campus.  Escalates technical issues as required.  

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service skills
• Assists in the installation and maintenance of the College’s network infrastructure.
• Serves as functional backup to the Network Administrator.
• Monitor systems as specified and responds to automated messages and Help Desk requests regarding network infrastructure and connectivity
• Ability to support remotely connected users 
• Ability to enforce college network related policies
• Train and assist faculty and staff in cyber awareness.
• Monitors cyber security systems and escalates as required. 
• Perform preventive maintenance on networking equipment and related servers as identified
• Serves as tier one support to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to networks. 
• Documents processes, resolutions, and monitors ticketing system.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Monitor Security Bulletins and emails for threats and research threat mitigation
