Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field.
Technical certification required: CCNA
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Cisco Academy Instructor Certification
Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college and/or experience as an industry/corporate trainer.
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Primary duties include classroom/laboratory teaching of CCNA industry certification to include:
- Network Fundamentals
- LAN Switching Technologies
- Routing Technologies
- WAN Technologies
- Infrastructure Services
- Infrastructure Security
- Infrastructure Management
Candidate will utilize Blackboard for the course content and delivery LMS as well as develop and support student success strategies that align with the Systems Security & Analysis Department’s mission and goals.
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
Teach online classes as needed by the Department.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies & interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Assist in program recruitment.
Prepare lesson activities; prepare and oversee projects with oversight from lead instructor.
Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
Maintain cleanliness of class/labs area.
Maintain security of tools and equipment.
Maintain lab infrastructure as required.
Advise and register students who are in the program.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Maintain class records.
Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, outlines, and lesson plans.
Evaluate classroom and online instruction and make necessary improvements.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty and staff.
Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
