Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a Master’s degree in a related field with 18 semester hours in Criminal Justice is required. All post-secondary credentials must be from regionally accredited institutions. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Must be proficient with computer software, be a self-starter, a team player, and possess the ability to work well with others. A minimum of three years experience as practitioner in the designated subject area is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a minimum of two years teaching experience with a university or community college and bilingual.
Position Description
Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Criminal Justice and/or Forensic Science programs, and submit academic reports and records in a timely manner. Applicants must be able to teach day and evening classes, which may include classes offered on and off the main campus. Courses may be required to be taught using transitional methods (seated), online, and hybrid.
If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
