Position Description
POSITION
Administrative Assistant/Switchboard Operator
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant/Switchboard Operator is responsible for providing clerical, administrative and project support to the Dean of Student Services and other Student Services staff members. This position maintains current general knowledge of appropriate college and departmental policies, processes and procedures in an effort to ensure efficiency and integrity of the department. The Administrative Assistant/Switchboard Operator operates telephone systems equipment to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls for the College and provides current and correct information to callers and visitors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years’ experience in an office environment performing administrative tasks
SALARY/BENEFITS
- Hiring range is $25,500 - $27,500
- Benefits include paid holidays, annual and sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
