Position Description
Teach students the guidelines and concepts of basic medical coding, medical insurance, advanced medical coding, coding manual guidelines and conventions, versed with evaluation and management protocol to prepare students for the National AAPC CPC Certification Examination. Facilitate and co-facilitate medical coding courses, provide accurate feedback and answer students questions as it pertains to course content. Prepare course content within guidelines set forth by AAPC, stay up to date on all annual changes and educate students on coding changes. Local travel required. Daytime hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday. No weekends or holidays. A valid drivers license, and certified professional coder (CPC) or CPC-A with coding work experience within three (3) years, required. An Associate Degree or higher, preferred.
Salary: Based on education and experience.
