Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports
Demonstrates adaptable levels of tutoring to meet the specific needs of students
Demonstrates flexibility, resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to troubleshoot difficult projects

Proficiency in all software packages utilized in the Computer Center
Demonstrates advance teaching and tutoring proficiency the subject area of assigned Center or [as identified in Center syllabus]
Requirements:
Master's degree in Business, Math, Computer Science, or related field
Two years experience teaching or tutoring in a secondary or post-secondary institution

One year supervisory experience
Must demonstrate advanced competencies in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience tutoring/teaching in a community college setting
Two years supervisory experience
Competencies in distance tutoring in computer science and math
Position Description
This position provides leadership and direction for the Computer Center that will ensure a quality instructional process consistent with departmental goals and objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
*Coordinates Computer Center operations that include tutoring, supervising faculty/staff assignments, scheduling, reporting absences, coordinating resources and equipment;mentoring volunteers and faculty as needed within the Computer Center
*Assists in tutoring Computer programs in line with established policies that will ensure a seamless transition of services from day to evening
*Maintains and authenticates records of student records/reports as required to meet department and FTE requirements
*Markets Computer and other ILC services to Wake Tech students and faculty to include orientation tours, brochures, and flyers
*Works with instructors and ILC tutors to provide and coordinate implementation of intervention strategies and resources for targeted students
Supports the overall operations of the ILC and shared responsibilities as required
Researches and recommends purchase of equipment, evaluate and select software, audio and video materials and other technologies to supplement instruction
Reads professional journals to keep informed of current theories and practices relating to job responsibilities
Keeps current on issues and strategies that directly affect the adult learner
Attends departmental, divisional, and support area meetings as required
Prepares individual and Center goals in collaboration with other ILC faculty and staff members
Tutors students at the ILC Computer Center and provides support to other ILC Centers as needed
Promotes continuous improvement by completing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
