Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet resources
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multitask, excellent organizational skills
Ability to interact and work collaboratively with students, staff, and instructors
Flexibility and willingness to work an occasional evening and/or weekend schedule
Possess the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to travel a minimum of one 3-4 day trip per year for annual statewide BioNetwork staff meeting
Ability to adhere to required work schedule 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years' experience in an office environment
Preferred Qualifications
Preferences:
Associate's degree
Community College experience, especially experience with Colleague and Informer
Familiarity with Dropbox and Google platforms
Position Description
This position is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the Capstone Center. This position is part of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) BioNetwork initiative and has local, regional, and statewide responsibilities.
This position is part of a state-wide BioNetwork program funded by the North Carolina Community College System. Wake Technical Community College serves as the fiscal agent for this position. Daily operational and supervisory activities are conducted and managed by North Carolina Community College System personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
*Serves as first point of contact for BioNetwork guests and students
*Provides administrative and technical support for the Capstone Center, including all course and administrative functions, documentation, and communications
*Maintains an organized and efficient work flow for class support and data collection
*Ensures all paperwork and reports are submitted accurately and by established deadlines
*Manages classroom and documentation preparation for all onsite classes and process post-course paperwork, including grades, certificates, invoices, and other audit records.
Orders course handouts and other printed materials
Maintains course files for BioNetwork and the college
Processes student refund requests
Sends weekly internal and external communications regarding upcoming courses and enrollment numbers
Maintains an organized and current course library
Communicates course information to all registered participants for all onsite courses
Utilizes the BioNetwork website and Wake Tech's Colleague program to manage course data and metrics
Assists in the publication and dissemination of BioNetwork information and course material
Provides additional support to the Capstone Administrative team and BioNetwork leadership as needed or requested
