Minimum Qualifications
The qualifications for this job include a bachelor’s degree in human services, business administration, or related field required, with one to two years related work experience. Excellent oral/written communication skills required. Must have and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with computers and case management is preferred.
Position Description
The program specialist is responsible for reviewing the applications for program participants, and monitoring and evaluating those who enroll in the program. The program specialist is responsible for the accurate maintenance of program participants’ electronic files; the coordination of services for participants based on employment and training needs; and the placement of eligible youth, adults, and dislocated workers in the WIOA program. Other duties for the NC Works Career Center may be assigned. The position is supported with federal funds and requires some evening and weekend work.
