Position Description
Assist individuals in completing financial aid applications and rectifying any problems. Assist in reviewing prospective student aid applications and determining financial aid award amounts for electronic processing. Answer telephones, take messages, and independently secure information to resolve questions and provide responses where applicable. Build and maintain student financial aid files. Assist with information/orientation sessions related to financial aid, assist with data collection for preparation of reports, send correspondence and notifications to students, prepare correspondence in support of the Director, and perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalency; proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer keyboarding; and excellent customer service skills, required. Completion of a college-level certificate/diploma in accounting, business, financial services or related area; experience in accounting or bookkeeping; and knowledge of basic income tax procedures, preferred. Must possess NC Notary commission or be willing to obtain it, at the cost of the College, within 120 days of employment. This is a daytime position with some scheduled evening work and local travel, required.
Salary: $2,014.00 per month.
Start Date: May 1, 2020.
