Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is required with five years of progressively responsible experience in teaching at the post-secondary level, instructional design and assessment, and implementing assessment plans and using data collected for academic improvements and future action planning.
Experience with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accreditation process and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
A Doctorate Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this exempt full-time position to assist faculty and administrators with effectively implementing the College’s assessment process and delivering professional development to assist faculty and staff with meeting accreditation standards using the College’s Assessment Management System and enabling continuous improvement strategies to improve student success. Selected applicant will ensure high-quality instruction through modeling, co-planning, and teaching, classroom observation, and providing reflective feedback and support to instructors to enrich student-learning experiences and advance instructional practice.
The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work well with others is critical to experiencing success in this position. Duties
Maintain a student-centered and service-oriented environment working in collaboration with instructional coaches, faculty, department/division chairs, deans, AVP of Curriculum, success coaches, and executive directors.
Organizes professional learning activities with a focus on using data to improve instructional practices and collaborates with other FTCC instructional Coaches and Academic Deans.
Work closely with other college personnel to collect, use, and disseminate data to improve student success measures including: retention, persistence, graduation, transfer, and job placement.
Responsible for training program leadership and faculty in using data to improve student success.
Assist programs with the development of student-centered institutional and programmatic assessment outcomes.
Assist programs with designing action plans based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
Responsible for research on student success best practices and acts as a mentor on student learning measures, tutorial services, student services, and other means to implement the College’s strategic goals, and suggest data-supported improvements related to instructional goals and measures of student success.
Responsible for understanding and implementing the expectations of SACSCOC guidelines to improve student success.
Work collaboratively with the General Education Assessment Committee (GEAC) regarding the development of VALUE-based rubrics.
Assist the GEAC with collecting, analyzing, and using instructional competency data to drive continuous improvement of student success.
Design and facilitate professional development in areas such as analyzing program and institutional assessment data, implementing technology-rich instruction to improve teaching and learning, aligning content to assessments, and meeting quality assurance measures.
Develop and recommends processes, procedures and/or suggested policies for accurately tracking the academic success of students, while also working to lower the number of students on academic probation.
Analyze survey data on service-support programs and identifies trends and areas where improvements are needed to increase student outcomes.
Create reports to assist College supervisors with analysis of internal and external data for continuous quality improvements.
Serves as the College’s expert on using the Assessment Management System, identifying available data resources, creating and disseminating reports based on analyzed data, and implementing recommendations to demonstrate accreditation compliance and improve student outcomes.
Attends trainings, seminars, and workshops to ensure personal professional growth and sharing best practices and national assessment trends through professional development workshops with College supervisors, faculty, and staff.
Prepares and delivers reports and presentations on the state of assessment activity and ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.
Serve on various committees including the General Education Committee, as appropriate.
Monitor the Student’s First Year Experience and make suggestions to improve such experience as a means of increasing retention, persistence, and graduation rates.
Analyzes and crafts reports identifying strategies to improve success rates of measures used by the NCCCS the annual NC Performance Measures Report.
Plans, develops, and performs analytical reviews of assessment activities and indicators of compliance and success regarding the College’s Institutional Goals; assesses internal assessment trends; and identifies successful assessment trends externally.
Provides training to College faculty, staff, and administration on complex issues and regulations related to data collection, methods of data analysis, and considerations for using data for continuous improvements in student learning outcomes and service-support effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with College faculty, staff, and administration in collaboration with appropriate instructional leaders and administrative staff.
Perform related duties as assigned.
