Masters degree in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, or closely related discipline. One or more years of experience in a healthcare facility.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Online teaching experience. 1 or more years of experience in a Healthcare Management position.

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this exempt department chair position. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of a career that include flexible work experiences and willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Assist the Division Chair of Business Services with the following tasks for the benefit of the Healthcare Management program:
Identify, recruit, interview, select, and hire potential faculty to support program needs.
Provide training and support to new hires within the program.
Schedule and assign faculty instructors for all programmatic classes.
Determine budgetary needs within the department.
Develop, review, and recommend new or modified course outlines.
Suggest and review new course materials including textbooks, software, etc.
Maintain currency of instructional techniques and methods.
Ensure department and course materials are accessible.
Recruit and advise students, process student documentation, prepare reports and perform internal audits.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Perform other duties as explained in the job description for Department Chairs in the Organization Handbook.
Comply with instructional responsibilities, as explained in the job description for the instructional faculty, including:
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus
Teach online, virtual, and blended classes as needed by the program.
Incorporate latest instructional and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
