Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to communicate effectively, follow oral and written instructions, work independently or in a team environment, be discreet and capable of keeping information confidential. Required to stand for long periods of time and be able to work outdoors in all types of weather and extreme temperatures. Must be physically able to walk up to a quarter of a mile. The Health Screening Technician will be required to wear a face mask and shield for extended periods of time during work shifts. Applicants must be available to work Wednesdays and Thursdays weekly as well as other weekdays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual and National Career Readiness Certificate are preferred.
Position Description
The Health Screening Technician will conduct health screenings at check-in stations located in parking lots on the Wayne Community College campus. Screenings will include collecting data and taking temperatures of employees, students and visitors. Duties include maintaining records as needed, participating in staff meetings as required and will perform all other duties as assigned by the Occupational Safety & Health Initiatives Coordinator or the Vice President of Human Resources, Marketing, Safety and Compliance.
If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
