Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree required.
2. Ability to complete daily and monthly paperwork and reports consistently and on time.
3. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to relate well to people of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
5. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential material required.
6. Flexibility and Adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Proficiency in a second language preferred.
2. Experience in student development, advising, or related experience preferred.
3. Experience with project management preferred.

Position Description

Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services, the GEAR UP/IHE Coordinator will:

• Develop and maintain the services and activities for a designated cohort of Burke County Public School students in accordance with the goals and stipulations of the grant and the College.
• Work closely with staff of partnering GEAR UP LEA (school & district leadership, faculty and administrators) to identify opportunities, foster postsecondary enrollment among students, and create a positive college culture.

*This is a Part-Time position with potential for Full-time, contingent upon funds.
