Minimum Qualifications
Diploma or higher in Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology or related discipline coupled with appropriate experience in medium/heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair, or a high school diploma coupled with outstanding professional experience in medium/heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair, required.
Preferred Qualifications
Four (4) plus years as a diesel and/or heavy equipment technician and community college teaching experience, preferred.
Position Description
Responsible for development and instruction of courses within the Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology diploma curriculum, utilizing current industry standards and practices. Ongoing duties include student recruitment, developing and managing budgets, ordering equipment and supplies, and developing class schedules. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, academic counseling, job placement assistance, interaction with Advisory Committee membership, serving on college committees, and participating in college activities.
Start Date: August 2, 2021.
Salary: Based on education and experience.
Closing Date: June 25, 2021, or open until filled.
