Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Business Administration, Office Systems Technology or related field and two years accounting experience working with computerized accounting system; intermediate proficiency with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; five years of accounting experience working with computerized accounting system; knowledge of payroll practices and regulations related to compensation, wage and hour laws, taxes, garnishments, payroll tax reporting, and payroll deductions; and knowledge of North Carolina Sales and Use Tax regulations
Position Description
Responsible for processing and timely delivery of vendor payments and monthly payroll; use and understanding of the College’s accounting system while following applicable Internal Revenue code, North Carolina state statutes, and the Colleges’ policies; perform range of duties to ensure the accuracy of accounting processes.
