Strong problem solving skills. Ability to deal effectively with high school students, parents, staff and faculty of RichmondCC and Richmond County schools and the public. Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively as a member of a team. Ability to relate to a diverse population. Ability to handle multiple demands.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Proficiency in computer applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Community College experience preferred. Experience in an Early College Program preferred.
Position Description
General Description of the Position:
The Liaison, under the supervision of the Director of K-12 Partnerships and the general supervision of the Vice President for Instruction, will be the primary point of contact with the Early College High School administration and support the Career and College Promise Program (CCP) with Richmond County Schools. The Liaison will maintain open, positive lines of communication between the schools and the college and provide opportunities to strengthen these partnerships.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Position:
- Serve as the primary contact with Richmond Early College High School administration.
- Coordinate with the early college counselor in developing, implementing and evaluating individual curriculum plans for students to attain an associate’s degree and high school diploma.
- Serve as academic advisor for all Early College students in Richmond County.
- Foster and support the positive relationships between RichmondCC and the Early College staff and students.
- Ensure the Early College adheres to applicable RichmondCC policies and procedures and works closely with the Early College principal to resolve issues and infractions.
- Schedule courses needed for students’ academic plan in conjunction with the Director of K-12 Partnerships.
- Register Early College students for courses each semester.
- Communicate with RichmondCC instructors to monitor students’ academic progress in college courses.
- Participate in committees assigned by the College President.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of K-12 Partnerships and the Vice President for Instruction.

Salary: RCC Staff Salary Level 8. Starting range $36,362 - $45,453, commensurate with experience. Full-time, twelve-month position.
