Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  2. Three years of Student Services experience required.
  3. Understanding of military student population required.
  4. Computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
  5. The ability to work effectively with faculty, staff (co-workers), students, and the community is required.
  6. Demonstrates core value of “helpfulness”.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Two years of experience as a VA Certifying Official preferred.

Position Description

Sandhills Community College seeks applications for Director of Veterans Affairs.  The Director of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the orderly administration of the veterans affairs programs to include serving as the VA Certifying Official and contributing to the success of our military population.  This position supervises two part-time support staff.
