3. A four year degree is required. However, specific experience in Real Estate or other field may be considered.
4. Ability to work under pressure.
5. Highly organized.
6. Computer skills are necessary.
7. Knowledge or Community College Datatel system would be helpful, but not required.
8. Ability and desire to learn new skills and duties.

Position Description

Job Summary

The Statesville/Mooresville campus of Mitchell Community College will be served by the Real Estate Coordinator who is responsible for the Real Estate Programs offered by the college, such as Pre-Licensing, Post Licensing and Continuing Education classes for current Realtors. The Real Estate Coordinator would be responsible to recruit and guide potential instructors through the hiring progress with the NC Real Estate Commission. This person would be responsible for assuring that MCC is meeting all current guidelines directed by the Real Estate Commission. This person would also be responsible to see that all paperwork and required reports, yearly renewals, etc are submitted and kept current with the NC Real Estate Commission. This person would be responsible to see that the instructors have a working knowledge all paperwork required by the college as well as that of the Commission. This person would also be responsible for the recruitment and guidance of students for the classes offered. This person would report to VP of WFD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates with the VP of WFD the courses, locations, instructors, recruitment, etc for the Real Estate program.
2. Coordinate with the VP of WFD the salary of instructors, the classes taught and evaluate/and monitor the instructors in the program.
3. Arrange for student evaluations of each instructor and class at mid-term and final evaluation of each class. These are to be reviewed with the instructor and reports submitted as required by the NC Real Estate Commission and VP WFD.
4. Coordinate the purchase of books for each class.
5. Coordinate the distribution of material to students ahead of class if class is done online.
6. Submit plan each semester to Real Estate Commission of classes that will be held. Any changes must be submitted to Commission so that their website is current with what is offered.
7. All Reports at the end of a class must be submitted to the Real Estate Commission with the student's grade.
8. Make sure that all materials submitted to Real Estate Commission match the person's current Real Estate ID and Realtor number.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with current realtors in the area to maintain their attendance in Continuing Education classes locally.
10. Guide and assist students in getting registered in Real Estate classes that they need or desire.
11. Serve as a College representative for Community activities as needed.
12. Guide any staff that is assisting you in maintaining the needed data.
13. See that all Datatel information is submitted timely, such as course set ups, accurate attendance records, any needed change forms, etc.
14. See that Instructor's contracts are written correctly, signed and submitted in a timely manner.
15. See that any reports for the Real Estate Commission are submitted timely.
16. See that Instructor payroll is completed timely and correctly.
17. See that all Real Estate classes have a folder with the necessary paperwork included for audit purposes.
18. Hours will vary and days, nights or weekend can be involved as classes may be offered that work around students work hours.
19. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.
