MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Please make sure to list all relevant degrees and certifications you were awarded on this application.
- Currently certified as a North Carolina Notary Public and as an eNotary Public instructor.
- Have at least one year of active experience as a Notary Public instructor.
- Must be able to show copy of North Carolina Notary Public instructor certification.
- Maintain a current commission as a North Carolina Notary Public.
- Experience teaching online Notary classes preferred but not mandatory.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Position Description
SUMMARY
Part-Time Instructors will facilitate a variety of subjects and complete associated paperwork to ensure compliance with state and federal policies and/or grant regulations. Must be able to teach day or evening classes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop/approve class schedule(s) under the direction of the Coordinator of Workforce Development and department staff as requested.
2. Maintain accurate records (such as attendance, grades, documentation, etc.) and submit any corresponding reports according to departmental or college guidelines.
3. Submit required reports to school and NC Secretary of State.
4. Must possess a current notary public guidebook.
5. Must teach from the curriculum that is provided by the NC Secretary of State’s office.
6. Ability to effectively convey factual information and detailed explanations of program to industry, community, staff, and students.
7. Provide effective instruction to students online and/or in the classroom by preparing for each learning experience, and using effective evaluation methods to measure student performance.
8. Maintain up to date knowledge within the teaching field, and of software used for class delivery.
9. Participate in departmental and divisional orientation and training sessions.
