Requires Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred, minimum of three years’ experience as a mentor, advisor, or counselor in a college setting; experience in student success program development for marginalized populations; excellent oral/written communication skills.

Position Description
(First Year Experience and Minority Male Success Initiative) Collect and monitor data to meet objectives; plan, manage, recruit and provide instruction as needed; develop and implement policies, procedures and organizational structure of FYE Orientation, Mentoring, First-Year Seminar, Learning Communities, etc.; lead MMSI program development, events, recruitment, vision and goals; outreach, recruit, and coordinate opportunities with at-risk students to increase engagement; develop tools and evaluate both summarily and formatively; administration of programming in Person and Caswell Counties.
