Minimum Qualifications

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology. or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution or a equivalent combination of education and experience.
OR
Assoc. degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution and 4 years of HR experience
OR
10+ years of related experience in a professional position

Experience Required:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency
• HR systems reporting, HR process coordination, reporting, and project management experience
• Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a high-demand, numbers-driven environment
• Experience handling conflict
• Experience with a variety of social media

We are looking for a strategic, innovative, and transformational leader for our HR/Recruiting Specialist position to join our team and operationalize our institutional mission, vision, and values to build our learning community further.

The HR/Recruiting Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Staffing unit in the research, development, and implementation, and tracking strategies to attract and maintain a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Coordinates the attendance at career fairs, and other events where candidates may be outreached. Develop leads that can be viable candidates for future openings. Assist the unit in tracking goals for the recruiting and hiring processes. Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Assist Sr. Staffing Specialists in using automated screening technology to facilitate more efficient screening. Maintains and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of HR management and staff. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in PeopleAdmin and Colleague. Serves as a back up to the Staffing Specialists and Director in training and troubleshooting tips to other HR members on features and functionality of systems as needed. Assists Staffing Director in reaching out to hiring manager to minimize time-to-fill.
