Position Description
In support of the overall Learning College, the Recruiter is responsible for the College’s student recruitment program. Duties include responsibility for recruiting and admissions of traditional/non-traditional students for all Isothermal Community College academic programs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Customer Relationship Management solution for recruiting/prospective students.
- Design and implement a comprehensive, innovative recruiting program for the College aimed at attracting the maximum number of students from Isothermal's service area who may benefit from the educational programs offered.
- Maintain and follow up with a comprehensive prospect list.
- Work closely with the Registrar, Career Coaches, Director of Enrollment Management, and the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to provide the most effective and efficient process for all traditional and non-traditional enrollment.
- Conduct regular recruiting visits on campus and in the community with area schools, industry partners, and community locations as appropriate, including recruitment-specific and community outreach events.
- Provide career counseling to students as needed.
- Maintain a flexible schedule which includes some evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Schedule tours for prospective students.
- Serve as liaison with high school counselors and teachers in the College’s service area, seeking to enhance their awareness of Isothermal’s programs and build their support of the College.
- Work with faculty members and department deans on recruitment strategies/plans for each program of study and facilitate faculty involvement in recruitment plans.
- Assist with admissions duties as needed.
- Assist the Director of Enrollment Management in managing the recruiting budget.
- Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Computer skills and attention to detail required.
- Working knowledge of the College Student Information System is preferred.
- Possess excellent skills for anticipating needs, planning, organizing, executing, and functioning effectively under time constraints of rapidly changing priorities.
