Minimum Qualifications
Education requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or related area
All coursework must be from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in electrical installation and or industrial electrical maintenance
- North Carolina Electrical Contractors License requires
- Teaching experience preferred
Knowledge of:
- Principles and procedures of academic and institutional program development in relevant field
- Current trends, research, developments, and resources in relevant field
- Federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations as they relate to students and teaching
Ability to:
- Create effective instruction for delivery both online and in the classroom while maintaining compliance with ADA standards.
- Utilities course materials and hands on training exercises
- instruct, operate and maintain training equipment
- Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Work effectively in diverse teams, both within assigned department and cross-functionally across the college
- Display excellent interpersonal skills and Interact well with adult learners, high school students, local industry representatives and other college employees/departments.
- Interpret and apply college goals, policies, and procedures
- Maintain any relevant equipment and supplies related to instruction

Position Description
Faculty member to provide instruction in assigned courses. Courses may be seated, synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid. Maintain accurate records (such as attendance, grades, documentation for accreditation, etc.) and submit any corresponding reports according to departmental or college guidelines.
Must be willing to travel to high school locations and work with high school students. Serve on various campus committees and/or as an advisor for student organizations.
Position will be assigned at a high school location.
This is a full time, 10 month position.
Minimum base salary: $4,340 per month, $43,400 annually
