Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience with responsibility for academic and instructional programs in an administrative or lead capacity working with Adult Learners
  • Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Driver’s License

Position Description

Under limited supervision the Director of College and Career Readiness (CCR) will coordinate, plan, administer and evaluate all activities and procedures necessary to operate the instructional division of the college’s CCR program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management of the CCR program within the Continuing Education function
  • Develop goals and objectives for the program and develop and implement activities to reach these goals and objectives
  • Evaluate curriculum development for the program, evaluate and ensure that operations within the program meet the needs of the student population; establish and monitor program evaluation systems
  • Manage the department’s budget, make recommendations for equipment, materials, supplies and staffing needs; monitor and approve expenditures
  • Recommend, hire, supervise, and evaluate all full-time and part-time CCR employees; implement discipline and termination procedures when necessary
  • Assess needs for staff development activities, conduct and/or supervise activities, manage employee performance
  • Plan and conduct quarterly meetings for CCR Advisory Committee; attend and participate in various professional groups; represent the colleges CCR program
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the CASAS program; identify resource needs, recommend, and implement policies and procedures
  • Council adult students, minor students, and parents as appropriate regarding CCR programs and disciplinary policies
  • Serve as the Data Manager for the department. Reviews state analytics and data entry to ensure accuracy
  • Create, print, approve, analyze, and give feedback to instructors using data reporting tools such as ADVANSYS, Power BI, Colleague, Informer, MSG, FTE, enrollment, Web Attendance, and ICR
  • Oversee and monitor data collection for Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) forms; ensure accuracy of data; review testing results; forward test results to instructors and students as appropriate
  • Coordinate with recruitment of staff efforts to recruit and retain students, including preparation of fliers, brochures, media coverage and graduation exercises
  • Supervise and assist with the development of CASAS modules and worksheets, oversee the distribution of approved materials to instructors and regulatory agencies
  • Establish and maintain contact with the staff involved with CCR; supervise and assist with the collection of various information; prepare annual reports as required; ensure proper reporting and program operation
  • Order all required CASAS Testing materials, GED® Testing vouchers, online curriculum, instructional supplies, and office supplies using E-Procurement
  • Serve as the Administrator for CASAS, Digital Literacy, BSP Transitions RISE, Power BI, ADVANSYS, Burlington English, and Essential Education
  • Serve as back-up data entry and CASAS tester
  • Oversee the WIOA Title II Grant and all required submissions
  • Attend required meeting
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Develop and maintain cooperative partnerships with various agencies, business & industry, and civic groups
  • Support and participate in public and community service activities, provide information and resources to the community, speak to interest groups and other organizations, serve on various boards and committees as needed
  • Participate in professional development activities to remain abreast of current concepts and technology
  • Teach face-to-face or online courses as needed
