Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree required; a minimum of two to three years experience in either managing Open LMS as a site administrator or scheduling and proctoring entrance and certification exams (ATI, TABE, Pearson, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
Position Description
The Testing and LMS Technician manages testing services and serves as assistant LMS administrator in the Learning Enhancement Center. Coordinates testing for entrance into allied health programs, high school equivalency certification, and other programs requiring certification through testing. Assists with student and faculty loads to the LMS. Provides LMS support to students and faculty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates testing for entrance into the allied health programs, and high school equivalency exams. Other testing services may be rendered upon need or request to support the mission of the College.
- Ensures compliance with State Board of Community Colleges Code, federal/state laws and regulations, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain necessary administrative certifications required to offer required testing services.
- Responsible for orders, inventories, and equipment in the testing center. Ensure equipment software is kept up to date to properly administer exams.
- Works with the Director of Student Resources and Distance Learning to maintain ADA compliance in Open LMS. Works directly with instructors helping to assure the College is compliant in the areas of both sight and hearing impairments.
- Responsible for building Open LMS course shells for instructors.
- Assists the LMS Administrator with loading students into their Open LMS courses.
- Assists the LMS Administrator uploading students into the Blackboard Helpdesk database.
- Assists with training faculty in Open LMS.
- Assists with providing helpdesk support to Bladen Community College students.
- Works with the Director of Student Resources and Distance Learning to maintain an up-to-date website presence for testing services.
- Conducts outreach to students and faculty about testing services available.
- Works evenings, weekends, and off campus as needed.
- Serves on various College committees and special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as required.
