Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree; proven competency with computer applications including Microsoft Office; effective oral and written communication skills; and ability to work productively independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with setting up classes in Colleague; work experience at a community college.
Position Description
Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of occupational extension and lifelong learning classes. Identify and assist adjunct faculty that will be teaching continuing education classes. Advertise classes and attend events to publicize continuing education offerings. This position is partially grant funded.
Essential Job Duties
Administer Steps4Growth grant, including running associated academy programs.
Create classes for lifelong learning and occupational extension classes including contracts, attendance sheets, audit sheets, and evaluation sheets for classes.
Audit completed class paperwork before turning it in to Continuing Education Registrar.
Locate and hire adjunct instructors for Lifelong learning and OE classes.
Act as contact person for continuing education classes and register students for classes.
Coordinate ECC summer camps through Lifelong Learning.
Assist with course preparations: plan, prepare the materials needed, register attendees, and collect evaluations.
Process registration for courses as requested by Continuing Education Registrar.
Meet with instructors and initiate required first class paperwork protocol for new classes.
Supervise work-study student when needed.
Assist in planning special events dealing with department needs.
Assist with in-coming calls for pre-registration.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
