Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Equivalent to an Associate degree from an accredited college with major course work in Computer Programming, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
Operational services and activities of a fully interfaced management information system.
Experience with MICROSOFT office products, SQL, HTML, experience in data entry and retrieval using relational databases. Some programming experience is required. Minimum one year of experience in the database usage and retrieval.
Knowledge of:
Workflow logic and programming (i.e. JavaScript).
Basic principles and practices of accounting.
Computerized data processing systems.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially Access, Excel and Word.
Knowledge of document imaging fundamentals.
Knowledge of relational database fundamentals.
Experience in retrieving, examining and analyzing data in various ways.
Ability to:
Implement goals, objectives, and practices for providing effective efficient computing services.
Ability to work with great attention to detail and accuracy
Network with colleagues on and off campus proactively.
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
Maintain a record of successful solutions for future reference.
Perform tasks independently in the absence of the Director.

Position Description
To perform a variety of technical duties in assisting in the implementation, maintenance and support for document imaging. Provide support required by the college community, faculty and administrative users with database and software.
This is an advanced level position within the Information Systems department. Employees within the class are distinguished from database administrators by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned including document imaging, Information Systems document archiving, assisting college staff with accessing COLLEAGUE and SoftDocs and backup support of other Information Systems tasks. Employees at this level receive minimum amount of assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from the ERP System Applications Specialist staff and the Database Technician/Assistant staff in that these positions are responsible for data retrieval and reporting, ERP system application administration, database security, web access for students, faculty, and staff; bookstore/financial aid interface, and maintaining the UNIDATA DBM with appropriate patch updates.
Receives general supervision from the Director of Information Systems.
Examples of Duties
Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs including those involving database implementation, computer systems operations, document imaging administration and support.
Developing and maintaining document imaging workflows.
Assisting and training users with document imaging.
Tracking of documents.
Backup support of general Information Systems tasks.
Answers questions, instructs and directs users to resources needed to sustain business operations.
Attending training for new updated document imaging database functions.
Staying current with new trends and innovations in the field of Information Systems.
Attend staff meetings, vendor demonstrations, and seminars as needed for information distribution/sharing.
Attending and participating in professional group meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Office environment, exposure to computer screens.
Physical Conditions
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may require maintaining a physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time.
