Minimum Qualifications

  •  Associate degree required from a regionally accredited institution. 
  • MS Office experience, particularly with Excel, Word, Teams, and Lists.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required from a regionally accredited institution. 
  • Community college experience. 
  • Experience with institutional and programmatic assessment processes.
  • Managing institutional and programmatic assessment processes.
  • Experience with Datatel/Colleague/Ellucian and Entrinsik Informer. 
  • Advanced level user of MS Word, including experience with mail merge and style formatting.
  • Advanced level user of MS Excel, including experience with advanced lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with MS Teams and MS Lists
  • Experience programming in at least one programming language, such as R, Python, SQL, SAS, or Power Query/Power BI.

Position Description

 

 

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

 

Supports excellence planning and accreditation functions of the institution. The Assessment and Research Analyst is responsible for managing the annual excellence planning process, administering surveys, acquiring data, and editing institutional documents. In addition, the Assessment and Research Analyst will manage the faculty credentials process and gather data from various sources to support reporting and future planning purposes.

Reporting to the Director of Institutional Excellence Research, and Grants, the Assessment and Research Analyst provides support to campus units (instructional and non-instructional) throughout the college excellence planning cycle.

This is a part-time non-exempt para-professional staff position

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Manages the annual excellence planning (outcomes assessment) process.
  • Works with campus departments to review, evaluate, write, and complete annual excellence plans, including assisting departmental staff in developing learning, program, and administrative outcomes.
  • Designs and conducts training sessions to enhance understanding of learning, program, and administrative outcomes.
  • Assists the Director of Institutional Excellence, Research, and Grants with maintaining records and reporting for regional accreditation (SACSCOC), such as maintaining faculty credentials records.
  • Conducts research related to potential future programs of study at the College.
  • Maintains program tracking changes in coordination with Curriculum Committee.
  • Assists department leaders throughout the annual program review process by providing relevant data and assisting with documentation.
  • Assists with IPEDS reporting requirements.
  • Assists with administering surveys and summarizing survey data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages the administration of course evaluations and the dissemination of results to faculty and supervisors. 
  • Uses standard Informer queries to obtain data from the College’s database to support the assessment, evaluation, planning, and reporting functions.
  • Employs a variety of Microsoft Excel functions to create reports using raw data.
  • Maintains the confidentiality and security of all institutional and system data.

Additional Responsibilities

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned and other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 
  • Serve as technical advisor to committees as required. 
  • Interact with students, the public, the community, and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous, and professional manner. 
  • Serve on appropriate committees and teams as assigned. 
  • Comply with the college's policies and procedures. 
  • Represent the College in local, regional, state-wide, and national assessment, institutional research, and technology organizations in online community and annual meetings. 
  • Some travel in college vehicles may be necessary.
