Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Integrated Machining, Industrial Systems Technology or another related field;
2. One year of full-time or equivalent teaching experience in a college classroom setting or equivalent training experience in a corporate, industrial, or workforce development environment;
3. Experience with instructional technology, instructional design, and curriculum development.

4. Certifications in OSHA, First Aid and CPR, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Electrical Journeyman card or license, and/or Hazwoper 40 Hour certification Siemens Automation Educator.
5. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Job Description Summary
This position provides instruction and advising for students seeking certification and short-term training in the Economic & Workforce Development Department and the Advanced Manufacturing Center.
Duties
1. Maintains mastery of subject matter, reflecting industry needs in curriculum development. Instructs courses (in-person, hybrid, and online) within the Advanced Manufacturing Continuing Education programs and the Customized Training programs at A-B Tech campuses and designated training sites.
2. Advises students through registration, scholarship application, and testing processes. Maintains confidentiality of student information.
3. Schedules and conducts facility tours, orientations, and student appointments.
4. Prepares and schedules students to take and pass the MSSC Certified Production Technician exams.
5. Supervises students in classrooms, labs, field trips, and during hands-on experiences. Ensures adherence to Code of Classroom Conduct and Code of Student Conduct.
6. Develops curriculum, teaching materials, activities, assignments, projects, and assessments for courses. Learns and uses technology during instruction.
7. Prepares lesson plans and deliver instruction to students. Evaluates student progress in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
8. Modifies instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs; encourages the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
9. Prepares and maintains course documentation (attendance, grading, rosters, section changes, class schedules) in accordance with college policy. Ensures accuracy and timely submission to meet reporting requirements. 10. Keeps accurate inventory and submits materials and supplies requests. Exercises stewardship of college resources and facilities.
11. Maintains highest safety standards, organization, and cleanliness of labs and shop areas.
12. Adheres to policies, procedures, expectations, and practices of the College, the department, and discipline.
13. Communicates clearly with students and employees.
14. Contributes to a safe and secure campus environment.
15. Attends meetings and events and actively participates on committees and task forces.
