Minimum Qualifications
Facilities personnel are expected to report to work even when the College is closed due to inclement weather or other reasons to remove debris and/or snow and ice during or after storms. Supervisors will approve time off at a later date equal to time worked. If overtime is required, established overtime rules will apply.
A valid NC driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years relative work experience are required. Must have the physical ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted, the ability to work out-of-doors in hot and cold weather, the ability to work independently with little supervision and while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to providing a clean and safe environment for students, visitors, and employees.

Position Description
This position is based on the Rocky Mount campus to assist with custodial duties, maintain the grounds, and transport mail/packages between two campuses.
Essential Duties
Maintain the grounds by cutting grass and weed eating weekly during growing season and as needed during the off season.
Remove weeds in plant beds; trim shrubs; and edge parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
Blow off parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
Remove ice and snow from parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
Transport mail and packages between campuses daily.
Assist with work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Clean the Barbering building daily by sweeping, emptying trash and cleaning the restrooms, as well as mopping weekly.
Assist on the Tarboro campus as needed for event set up.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
