Position Description
The Key and Alarm Systems Technician position ensures maintenance and repair of the college’s alarm systems, and key management system. S/he performs routine troubleshooting and problem resolution on-site.
In addition to these duties, this position performs other tasks assigned by the Chief of Police or his/her designee to include, clerical and customer service duties for students, faculty/staff, and the public both in person and by telephone. The Key and Alarm Systems Technician must work effectively with private vendors who provide installation and/or maintenance of various systems used to ensure campus services for GTCC. This also includes the scheduling and coordination of repairs necessary for these systems. The Key and Alarm Systems Technician must work in conjunction with members of the Campus Police Department in the delivery of professional police services.
