- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required
- 2-4 years’ experience networking for business/sales or higher education admissions, recruiting, or marketing
- 2-4 years’ experience supporting Spanish-speaking community (translator, volunteer, tutor, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Education Preferred
- Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.
Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in college admissions/recruiting
- Higher education/community college experience
Position Description
The Spanish-speaking Student Recruiter will focus on recruiting and supporting prospective Spanish-speaking students through the onboarding and admissions process. The Spanish-speaking Student Recruiter will build partnerships with key external community contacts, like nonprofit leaders, relevant school system contacts, career and college counselors, employers, and faith-based organizations. They will identify and cultivate student prospects, applicants, and admitted Spanish-speaking students through direct communications, including in-person, phone, text, email, and the CRM system. The Spanish-speaking Student Recruiter will create and deliver presentations for prospective Spanish-speaking students and partners about the benefits of community college at on-campus and external events. As needed, this person will assist as a translator to support Financial Aid and Student Advising as they assist Spanish-speaking students.
