Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, education, accounting or related field from a regionally accredited institution and thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations governing state and federal student aid programs including Pell Grant, Federal Work Study, Veterans Programs, and Federal Direct Student Loans. Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail needed.

Position Description
Responsible for administering federal, state, and local financial aid programs to students who meet eligibility criteria, and for providing quality financial aid counseling and advising to all students as required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide information to applicants, currently enrolled students, and the general public about financial aid programs available through NCC.
- Participate in new student orientation classes.
- Ensure that student financial aid records and disbursements of monies are correct according to governing regulations and statutes and certify the same to federal and state officials.
- Certify, monitor, and verify attendance and progress of financial aid recipients.
- Work closely with faculty advisors in assessing and meeting the needs of the students.
- Provide financial aid workshops and recruit students on and off campus.
- Award student federal and state funds.
- Notify students of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal committee decisions; prepare documents for the appeal committee.
- Perform professional judgments for students with extenuating circumstances.
- Participate in professional development activities provided by NCC.
- Participate in College events and activities.
- Maintain regular and consistent on-site attendance during normal hours of college operations in fulfillment of duties not inconsistent with the expectations for full-time employees and College policies and procedures.
- Initiate and answer telephone calls and video conference calls.

- Perform duties as assigned which will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of NCC.
- Serve on various committees as assigned.
- Participate in and support ongoing assessment, planning and evaluation to improve student learning.
