Position Description
The Office Assistant - Human Resources is responsible for performing various HR tasks as it relates to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
This position will remain open until filled.
The Office Assistant - Human Resources will assist with:
- Managing applicant tracking system; ensuring accuracy of posts and position descriptions; and verifying pay rates
- Maintaining and monitoring Affordable Care Act records
- Managing time keeping system
- Communicating with the public regarding position announcements, the application process, prior service and employment verifications
- Planning HR sponsored events
- Preparation of adjunct and off-load contracts
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Working Conditions
- Typical office environment including use of telephone, computer, printer, copier, facsimile machine, and calculator
- Sitting at a desk for long periods of time with a moderate amount of standing, walking, and keyboarding
- Some lifting and carrying of weight up to 10 pounds
- Some traveling with occasional overnight stay may also be required
- Some evening and/or weekend duties may be required on or off campus
