  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • An associate degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Must possess excellent public relations and organizational skills, problem-solving abilities and have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Position Description

The Office Assistant - Human Resources is responsible for performing various HR tasks as it relates to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.

This position will remain open until filled.

The Office Assistant - Human Resources will assist with:

  • Managing applicant tracking system; ensuring accuracy of posts and position descriptions; and verifying pay rates
  • Maintaining and monitoring Affordable Care Act records
  • Managing time keeping system
  • Communicating with the public regarding position announcements, the application process, prior service and employment verifications
  • Planning HR sponsored events
  • Preparation of adjunct and off-load contracts
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment including use of telephone, computer, printer, copier, facsimile machine, and calculator
  • Sitting at a desk for long periods of time with a moderate amount of standing, walking, and keyboarding
  • Some lifting and carrying of weight up to 10 pounds
  • Some traveling with occasional overnight stay may also be required
  • Some evening and/or weekend duties may be required on or off campus
