Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study such as Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or other related field from a regionally accredited college/university, and teaching experience in an online environment or a strong background in online instructional design.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field of study in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Educational Technology as well as LMS management experience and demonstrated success in problem solving, project management and collaboration with faculty and staff. Three years’ experience integrating technology (video, graphics, animations, and interactive media elements) into higher education instruction/faculty development and Blackboard or Moodle is also desirable.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting faculty in the successful integration and production of high quality on-line courses that support institutional, program, and student learning outcomes through the learning management systems (LMS). Additionally, develop and implement a series of professional development opportunities on a variety of topics related to the use of technology as an instructional tool. This position will also play a primary role in the development, implementation, and assessment of Quality Enhancement Plan actions.
