Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate should have the following:
• Welding diploma
• 3-5 years’ work experience
• Knowledgeable in welding, as evidenced by education and/or experience,
• Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and hands-on performance and be prepared in educational theory and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma in welding technology.
Position Description
Teach courses within the welding program of study on a part-time basis under the direction of the Lead Instructor. This is located at Wilkes Community College – Ashe Campus/Ashe County High School
The qualified candidate will be able to:
Include but are not limited to:
• Teach welding courses in an effective and engaging manner.
• Communicate with students via Moodle and email outside of class as needed
• Complete course administrative paperwork in a timely manner (attendance, grades, etc.)
• Assist in creating a safe, positive, successful learning environment for students
